Hokuyo Automatic Co., Ltd. will participate in the "Robot Experience" as part of the "Smart Mobility Expo" in the Future Society Showcase Program at the 2025 Japan World Expo (Osaka-Kansai Expo).
At the expo venue, we will demonstrate an autonomous mobile robot equipped with the industry's first self-positioning sensor system, designed to support last-mile logistics and next-generation mobility in smart societies.


About "Robot Experience"
"Robot Experience" will create an environment where robots and humans coexist throughout the expo site, including food courts, indoor areas, plazas, walkways under the Grand Ring, and other lively spaces. Through robot-assisted services such as facility transport and in-store product display, this initiative aims to showcase a future where robots enrich daily life.

Demonstration Overview
Our autonomous mobile robot, "WizURG", will navigate the venue independently and perform the following tasks:
• Phase 1: Measure crowd density in surrounding areas using a LiDAR sensor.
• Phase 2: Detect lost items and unaccompanied children using a LiDAR sensor.

Demonstration Schedule (Tentative)
• Phase 1: June 2 (Mon) – June 29 (Sun)
• Phase 2: August 4 (Mon) – August 17 (Sun)
